Interior Business Signs and Vinyl Banners for Warehouse Branding

Sign Source Solution design and prints decals, interior lobby signs, and banners for many diverse applications, including messaging and branding for inside commercial workspaces.  In October 2021, our little sign shop in Toronto was called upon by Epiroc in Mississauga, the Canadian branch of a Swedish based mining equipment manufacturer. Sign Source Solution was asked to create a wide array of branded print solutions for inside their warehouse.

Epiroc AB develops and sells mining equipment all over the world. They make drill rigs, rock excavation machines and mine construction equipment which includes a lot of specialized tools for underground mining. They’re well known for offering world-class service and aftermarket support for their automation, digitalization, and electrification hardware. Epiroc is based in Stockholm, Sweden and had revenues of $40 billion in 2021. They employ more than 15,000 people in over 150 countries. Here in Canada, they have partnered with a Sudbury based education institution to offer certifications in their electric mining equipment.

So, in this respect to say the company needed internal-facing signage is not entirely accurate as the warehouse could be considered public-facing and or an employee centered training space for Canada’s next generation of miners.

What did Sign Source Solution make for inside Epiroc?

Sign Source Solution created six different types of signs for Epiroc, all for interior use.

1. Frosted vinyl application on windowpanes.
2. Large yellow vinyl decal for the wall.
3. Epiroc sign above the warehouse office.
4. Vinyl banners on conveyer machine.
5. Large vinyl banners for the warehouse wall.
6. Large and small banners for the shelving area of the warehouse, to make it seem like an entrance to a mine.

1. Frosted vinyl application on windowpanes

Window frosting is frequently requested for privacy purposes, to reduce sun glare and make recognizable impediments which discourage bird strikes, but it’s also a great place to apply brand elements and décor. Epiroc designed three separate frostings which showcase mineral ore, a mining drill, and an ore extractor. These were applied to interior windows which separate the administrative area of the facility from the storage section.

2. Vinyl Decals on Wall for Corporate Branding

Vinyl decals inside a warehouse, office, or storefront can offer helpful directions and brand promotion.

Vinyl decals can be used to create eye-catching displays designed to leave lasting impressions. Custom wall graphics utilize existing wall space and make a brand stand out as being helpful, safety conscious,  or even just ‘present’ when customers, visitors, clients and employees see the signs.

3. Epiroc sign above warehouse office

Printed signs inside a commercial office or warehouse can offer instruction and useful directions and thereby ‘brand’ a busy workspace to imbue a sense of identity and raise morale.

4. Vinyl banners can brand a friendly workplace

The size, shape, and range of colours for vinyl banners is limitless. Printing technology is so advanced today, vinyl banners can display bold, vibrant colours and impart mood and ambiance in addition to helpful messages and corporate slogans.

This project showcases some of the more unusual decals, interior lobby signs, and banners that can be created to impart useful messaging alongside brand elements inside busy workshops.
